N2  - Abstract:  Obstetric airway has always been a challenge to every anesthesiologist. Coupled with inhalational injury, one is likely to encounter twice the trouble. Besides the already existing maternal anatomic and physiologic changes that pose a threat to adequate fetomaternal oxygenation, you have the burden of a compromised respiratory tract due to pathologic changes imposed by thermal injury. We hereby report a case of a 34-week pregnant patient who sustained flame burn with affectation of 40% of total body surface area including the aerodigestive tract for burn wound debridement. The anesthetic management was centered on realizing the potential difficulty of securing the patient's airway. A new instrument, the video laryngoscope, was used to visualize laryngeal structures
