Abstract: Blood donors have various reasons why they donate. One reason is for a patient who may be a family member or a friend. Blood transfusion is a necessity when there are surgical procedures that are needed to be done. Also a certain blood related disease may also require a patient to have it done to him or her. Another reason why others donate is for the sake of helping anyone. While for others, it is for self-satisfaction. However not all blood donors are willing to donate again. Some of them would only do it in cases of emergency. The rest are willing to be regular blood donors. In this study, the researchers aim to identify the reasons for blood donation and to determine if they are willing to donate again. The data that they have gathered will come from the surveys that will be given to the donors. The subjects will be the blood donors of Rizal Medical Center during the month of December in the year 2017.
