Abstract: The study seeks to determine the knowledge, attitude and practices of Filipino mothers of 2-6 years old children of Barangay 401, Zone 41, Sampaloc, Manila regarding Ascaris Infection. Forty-eight mothers who were considered as our sample based on inclusion criteria had their children's stool examined. These mothers were then divided into two two groups according to the presence or absence of Ascariasis of their children. Interview type of questions on knowledge, attitude and practices regarding source, mode of transmission, clinical Manifestation, control and prevention through personal hygiene and environmental sanitation was administered. The two groups noted no differences in their responses to knowledge and attitudes and differences in practices were noted. Our study reflected on the host and not on the agent and environment. A more intensive research on the latter factors are recommended.
