The decoctions' ability to kill mosquitoes were compared to a gold standard which is a commercially available pesticide called Baygon. A total of 150 mosquitoes were used, each in a 3 bottle set-up containing 50 mosquitoes each bottle. Significant differences were found in the ability to kill mosquitoes among the 3 material used, plain lavender decoction, lavender decoction without oil, and Baygon. Post hoc analysis revealed that lavender decoction with oil kills mosquitoes as efficient as the gold standard Baygon, indicating the addition of oil to the decoction enhanced its performance to kill mosquitoes. The study was able to conclude that lavender decoction with oil is amore feasible product or substance to be utilized as an organic mosquito killer. With these results, the study was able to offer an additional organic, non-toxic material that can be used in common household to kill mosquitoes thereby potentially contributing to the reduction of dengue cases and adding up to the data base of organic mosquito killer ER -
