Thorough history taking and physical exam alongside diagnostic tests are indispensable tools in differentiating these two distinct conditions. This is a case of a 68-year-old female who presented with generalized body weakness with associated inability to open the right eye completely, diffuse headache, and doubling of vision. Initial assessment was posterior circulation cerebrovascular infarct thus, diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) was done revealing no infarct nor hemorrhage. Lumbar puncture (LP) and electromyography nerve conduction velocity (EMG-NCV) were done which showed results consistent with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS). ER -
