Chromotherapy or Color Therapy is the therapeutic use of light and color. It is an Entirely non-invasive holistic treatment which aims to bring balance to the energy of our body. The Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) questionnaire was administered to the twenty (20) patients before and after chromotherapy. Results of the pre and post intervention were compared. Based on the tool utilized, only one (1) respondents exhibited significant decline in anxiety from high anxiety to low anxiety; thus, making the study clinically irrelevant. Although, using statistical paired t-test, the researchers came up with a computed value of five point zero-four (5.04) against the T-value of one point thirty-two (1.32) which showed that the study was statistically significant and that all the respondents' anxiety level were lower after exposure to chromotherapy using blue color light. The researchers aimed to contribute in the development of possibly independent nursing intervention that would reduce preoperative anxiety in a non-pharmacological way which stems out from the innate caring behavior of all of us.
