Due to the large number of cases of infection across different countries around the globe, lockdowns and quarantine measures were imposed by several governments, the Philippines induced. Because of the increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 infections, several health care institutions have experienced an influx of patient admission. This has affected non-COVID cases especially those who will have to undergo surgical procedures. It is in this regard that the investigator conducted the study in order to evaluate the patient's quality of recovery after anesthesia during the COVID 19 crisis. To evaluate the patient's quality of recovery after anesthesia during the COVID-19 crisis. Observational research design was used. Participants were assigned a number coded identification and were requested by the principal investigator to accomplish a quality of recovery questionnaire which served as the baseline state of being of the patient and were recorded as T0. The questionnaire was sealed in a clear zip lock bag and handed over to the patient thru a plastic tray and was handed over to the investigator in the same manner. After the surgery, the patient was admitted in the post anesthesia care unit for at least 2 hours and was transferred back to their room. The principal investigator presented the same questionnaire to the participant after 24 hours post operatively and were recorded as T1. With the dimensions of quality of recovery, the investigator noted that a decline was seen across all areas. The researcher found that a lower mean average was seen on different aspects of quality of recovery specially comfort, emotion, physical independence, pain and patient support. The over-all quality of recovery was also found to decrease significantly from the pre-operative to post-operative phase. The data indicate that patients experienced a decline in the quality of services from the institution where they had their surgical procedure. This could be attributed to the fact that the study was done during COVID 19 pandemic where most health care institutions, including the declared research locale, had experienced a greater influx of patients causing almost all health care staff significant burden ER -
