N2  - Abstract: This study primarily aimed to determine the number of Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal induced LBP consultations in FEU-NRMF Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit from January 2014 to December 2015.  The subjects of the study included 482 medical charts from the master list of people who were diagnosed with low back pain and had consulted at the FEU-NRMF Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit from January 2014 to December 2015. Four hundred forty medical charts have met the inclusion criteria and were further reviewed, while 42 medical charts were excluded from the target population based on the exclusion criteria.  The researchers reviewed the charts of the patients who consulted at the FEU-NRMF Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit to determine the number of Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal induced LBP consultations from January 2014 to December 2015. The charts of the patients were reviewed according to their to their age, sex and diagnosis to identify which sex and age bracket have had the highest percentage of Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal induced LBP consultations.  A decrease in the number of LBP consultations was observed between 2014 and 2015. A total of 440 LBP consultations were conducted at the FEU-NRMF Medical Centre from January 2014 to December 2015, with 228 LBP consultations in 2014 and 212 LBP consultations in 2015.  To the knowledge of the researchers, this study is the first to report and determine the number of Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal induced LBP consultations in FEU-NRMF Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit from January 2014 to December 2015. Fifty-eight percent or 257 out of the 440 patients included in the study were female while 42% or 184 out of 440 patients were male. One hundred twenty six out of 440 patients were from the 51 to 60 age bracket which accounts for the highest number of low back pain consultations, while one out of 440 patients was from the 81 to 90 age bracket which shows the lowest number of low back pain consultation. A total of 440 LBP consultations were conducted in FEU-NRMF PTRU, with 228 LBP consultations in 2014 and 212 LBP consultations in 2015. The highest number of consultations in 2014 was observed in the month of March with 28 out of 228 LBP consultations or 12.28%, while the lowest number was observed in December with 9 out of 228 LBP consultations or 3.95%. The highest number of consultations in 2015 was observed in the month August with a total of 24 out of 212 LBP consultations or 11.32%, while the lowest number was observed in January with 9 out of 212 LBP consultations or 4.24%. Fifty-nine (59%) or 260 out of 440 patients were diagnosed with musculoskeletal LBP having sprain as the most common sub-cause which accounts for 83% or 216 out of 230 patients with musculoskeletal diagnosis. Thirty-five percent (35%) or 154 out of 440 patients diagnosed with neuromuscular LBP having nerve irritation as the most common sub-cause which accounts for 97% or 149 out of 154 patients diagnosed with neuromuscular in origin. Six percent (6%) or 26 out of 440 patients were recorded as unclassified.
