N2  - Abstract:  This research paper aims to know the factors that affect the willingness of nursing students of Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in responding to public health emergency disasters. A cross-sectional survey was used in the research design and the respondents from Level I to Level IV who are currently enrolled in Bachelor Science of Nursing are chosen through stratified random sampling with a computed sample size of 260. The researchers used an adapted survey questionnaire. The level of willingness of respondents in responding to public health emergency situations during natural and human-caused disasters, the factors that affect their willingness, and the significant relationship between them were analyzed. Mean, standard deviation, spearmen rank, and point-biserial correlation were the statistical treatments used. The responses revealed that nursing students are more willing to respond to natural-caused disasters. The barrier that affects their fear of safety as well as their families while the most enabling factor was provision of prophylactic measures. They are most willing to perform basic clinical support with regards to specific tasks. Disaster training curricula should also be included in nursing degree programs, according to them. Nursing students also agreed that it is an obligation and they should be encouraged to volunteer. Concerns for their own safety and their families' were taken into consideration in participating in helping to public health emergencies. Furthermore, there are significant relationships between some of these factors and the level of willingness of nursing students. As a result, various factors affect the willingness of the nursing students in responding to disasters.
