Abstract: In December 2019, COVID 19, had been identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness in Wuhan China (Meng, 2020). COVID 19's major clinical features were fever, cough, shortness of breath, myalgia, headache and diarrhea. Diabetes and hyperglycemia were considered significant risk factors for severe and poor outcomes of COVID 19 such as hospitalization-including need for ICU admission, acute kidney injury, acute respiratory distress syndrome and death. An understanding of its association might lead to development of better treatment and control of the severity of COVID 19 disease, specifically tailored for the Philippine setting. To assess glycemic profile using hemoglobin A1cin relation to the severity of COVID 19 in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, aged 19 years old and above, admitted in the department of Internal Medicine of FEU-NRMF April 2020 to December 2021. The research design was an observational cross-sectional study. A list of patients who passed the criteria for the population of this study would be given to the Records Section of the Hospital. Charts were reviewed and its results were tallied in a document. Records retrieved were from April 2020 to December 2021. The investigation showed statistical difference between HbA1c of the uncontrolled and controlled group, with the uncontrolled group accounting for the highest mean average of HbA1c. Severity of COVID 19 infection and glycemic profile of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus did not show any statistical significance. However, one could note from the results of the study a much higher percentage of severe and critical COVID19 cases among patients whose diabetes mellitus was not controlled than the controlled group. Regardless of the glycemic profiles, incidence of acute respiratory distress syndrome, ICU admission, length of hospital stay, and final disposition did not show any statistical significance
