Airway difficulties and mismanagement are the most important cause of anesthesia-related major morbidity and mortality. Many devices and techniques are available for a successful management of a difficult airway. The ASA Difficult Airway Algorithm was also formulated to guide the clinician in any way possible.Presented is a case of a patient who sustained multiple burn injuries involving 40% TBSA to undergo Emergency Fasciotomy and wound debridement. The anesthesiologist chose to do an awake intubation using the conventional laryngoscope. But due to presence of severe inhalation injury to the upper airway, awake intubation was aborted and surgical airway was done ER -
