N2  - Abstract:  A male adolescent presented with urticarial rashes, intermittent moderate to high grade fever (39-40°C) and low back pain few hours after eating tuna. A diagnosis of Septicemia (Staphylococcus aureus) was confirmed by blood culture rapid clinical course of the pathogen was observed.  Mortality rates have been reduced significantly by appropriate antibiotic treatment. Untreated staphylococcal septicemia is associated with a mortality rate of 80%. Staphylococcal pneumonia can be fatal at any age but is more likely to be associated with high morbidity and mortality in young infants or in patients whose therapy has been delayed. Numerous host factors, including nutrition, immunologic competence, and the presence or absence of other debilitating disease may also influence the prognosis. In most cases of abscess formation, surgical drainage is necessary (Behrman, 2004)
