A total of 808 newborns delivered at FEU-NRMF were included in this study. Of the total, 575 (71%) underwent newborn screening (NBS) while 233 or 29% did not. Demographic profile of the mothers were also determined and showed that the most significant factors for failure of the screening were cost, early motherhood, primiparity, high school undergraduate, single motherhood and early hospital discharge (<48hrs) ER -
