No other symptoms were noted such as vomiting, fever, cough, weight loss, loss of appetite, abdominal pains. She was given Ibuprofen (Advil) 200 mg/ tab which relieved her symptoms and was advised to have a screening colonoscopy done because of her family history. Colonoscopy report was: Polyp, transverse and sigmoid colon; Chronic appendicitis, rule out malignancy. Biopsy result was hyperplasia of polyp at sigmoid, tubular adenoma at the transverse colon while periappendix/cecum biopsy revealed a chronic granulomatous with Langhan`s type multinucleated giant cells suggestive of a tuberculous infection. Laparoscopic appendectomy was done after which, anti TB regimen as started ER -
