N2  - ABSTRACT: Self-medication can be defined as obtaining and consuming drugs without the advice of a medical health professional either for diagnosis, prescription or observation of treatment. A lot of Filipino do not go to doctors for check up. Instead, they just buy medicine from the nearest pharmacy or market without prescription or they even practice traditional forms of medication thinking that the medicine that they got will relieve their signs and symptoms or cure their ailments. It is a common practice among our people to use a medicine when experiencing discomfort such as dizziness, cold, headache, runny nose, cough, fatigue and stomachache. The fact that these symptoms seem to disturb us from time to time make it easier for us to decide on our own what to buy from a nearby drug outlet
