WORK-FAMILY CONFLICTS ENCOUNTERED BY FEMALE PARENT NURSES AT FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY - DR. NICANOR REYES MEDICAL FOUNDATION - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF APRIL 2008 - 60 PAGES

ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the conflict encountered by female nurses at Far Eastern University-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation between family and work. Specifically, the objective of this study is to determine if female parent nurses at Far Eastern University-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation have a balance time management between family and work. The study made use of descriptive research method. A 15-item "work-family conflict effect survey" was devised by the researchers and adopted to Lickert`s scale model in providing the categorical descriptions. It served as the study`s main data-gathering instrument. Administration was done in a single setting. The statistical tools used were weighed mean, frequency, percentage. The female parent nurses should find time assessing themselves regarding the balance that they achieve between their work and family or they really are achieving balance and self fulfillment with it. In this way, they will be able to set priorities in a more organized perspective.
