WORKING RELATIONSHIP OF NURSES IN SELECTED WARDS OF FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY-DR. NICANOR REYES MEDICAL FOUNDATION MEDICAL CENTER - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF OCTOBER 2012 - 93 PAGES

ABSTRACT: The study assesses the working relationship of nurses in wards 4A, 4B, 4C, and 5B of Far Eastern University Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Medical Center. It also seeks to examine the respondent`s profile in terms of age, gender, religion, status/position, years of service and highest educational attainment. It also evaluates what factors affect their working relationship based on different dimensions such as interpersonal relationship, relationship with the superiors, relationship with working environment and communication relationship. Furthermore it also determines how the results and finding will be utilized in the improvement and maintenance of the dimensions stated. Data are gathered from 48 sample nurses (10 nurse supervisors, 4 head nurses, 34 staff nurses) through the use of survey instrument that was self-constructed by the researchers. Data obtained from the survey questionnaire was tabulated and computed, and results show that among the respondents, most of them are aged between 26-31; female dominating male; who have been in service for 1-3 years and more than 10 years; and are bachelor`s degree holder and post graduates.
