EFFECTS OF TIME MANAGEMENT ON THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG THE SECOND YEAR NURSING STUDENTS - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF OCTOBER 2012 - 63 PAGES

ABSTRACT: The study evaluates the academic performance of second year nursing students of Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, in relation to their manner of time management. It identifies the common activities of the respondents classified as curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Furthermore, it identifies and determines how these affect their performance academically. The study did not consider how much time they use for each indicated activity. Data are gathered from second year nursing students through the use of survey questionnaire that was self-constructed by the researchers and was tested for its face validity. Results of the study show that time management directly affects the academic performance of the student-respondents. Among the variables given, the respondents` most prioritized activity is their extra-curricular.
