N2  - Abstract:  The study included 202 respondents from the first year, second year  and  the  third  year  medical  students  of  FEU-NRMF.  Each  year  level  concerned  was  represented  proportionally  according  to  their  size  of  population.  A  pre-test  was  conducted  on  15  students  of  FEU-NRMF  composing  of  5  students  per  year  level  randomly  chosen  and  were  excluded  from  the  actual  survey.  The  first  year  students  comprising  the  largest  number  of  the  population  were  represented  by  89  students.  The  second  year  and  the  third  year  level  had  60  students  and  53  students,   respectively.  The  study  determine  the  existing  level  of  knowledge  and  attitudes  about  acupuncture  as  an  alternative  healing method.  Data   was  collected  using  the  pre-tested  self-administered  questionnaire.  Scores  were  given  to  determine  under  which  category  of  the  level  of  knowledge  and  attitudes  did  the  respondents  belong  to.  Single  item  analysis  was done,  as  well  as  proportion,  mean  values  and  standard  deviations   for  the  various  categories  of  knowledge  and  attitudes.  Results  show  that  the  population  generally  had  a   moderately  low  level  of  knowledge  (X =  46.04)  and  moderately  unfavorable  attitude   ( X  =  8.51 )   towards  acupuncture  treatment.  It  was  disclosed  that  respondents  lack  information  regarding  acupuncture  greatly  contributing  to  an  unfavorable  response  for  such  alternative  treatment.  It  is  recommended  that  this  status  of  knowledge  and  attitudes  be  improved  through  educational  campaigns  and  further  scientific  studies  concerning  acupuncture
