ABSTRACT: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a basic skill that third year medical students at Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) should possess. Unfortunately this is the skill that many of these student lack. A baseline level of knowledge and skill established by a pre-evaluation questionnaire revealed that only 52% medical students from section 3F had working knowledge of this procedure to light of this, the action group of 3F (SY 1998-1999) conducted a CPR basic skills workshop. with the aid of the Philippine National Red Cross on August 30, 1998 at the Manila Red Cross Chapter to improve their individual skills. After the workshop, another post-evaluation questionnaire was given. To reinforce the newly acquired skill, a follow up evaluation through return demonstration was held on September 6, 1998. Results were tallied, studied and analyzed.
