A STUDY ON THE AWARENESS, UTILIZATION, AND SATISFACTION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS IN THE STUDENT SERVICES OF THE FEU-NRMF INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE, SCHOOL YEAR 2006-2007 - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF 2007 - 45 PAGES

ABSTRACT: A descriptive study was done to assess the awareness, utilization and satisfaction of first, second and third year medical students of the FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine on student services. The method employed was through survey by means of questionnaires. Five components services were assessed namely, Admission, Guidance and Counselling, Finance, Health Service, Food Service and Co-curricular Programs and Activities. The results showed that students were aware of all of these components and that those who availed any of these services were partially and moderately satisfied. The Guidance and Counselling services were not utilized much since students did have time to avail of these services. Lack of knowledge in procedures in applying was the primary hindrance for the availment of Financial Aid. The Health Services were mostly not utilized due to the lack of knowledge of students on how to avail them. On Food Services, students mostly found sold items to be expensive Co-curricular Activities and Programs elicited a "passive, conforming" Type of involvement and most said that they did not have time to join them,
