Specially, the study determined: the demographic characteristics of the target population ( the members of the fraternities, sororities, and confraternities) as to gender, age, year level/school/course when they joined the organization; the advantages and disadvantages of being a member as to academic and social aspect, housing and accommodation, and financial and alumni support; the responsibilities of being a member as to monetary dues, activities organized, identify and image, and recruitment of new members; and the effects of being a member of the organization as to academic, psychological, and social aspects. A total of 35 respondents from the 1st to 4th year medical population of FEU-NRMF Institute of Medicine that are members of fraternities, sororities, or confraternities were surveyed according to the specific determinants mentioned. The respondents were gathered through the "snowball technique". It was found that among the 35 respondents 74% are male and 26% are female. The age they joined the fraternity is in the range of 19-21 y/o giving it 52% among the total population gathered, with other age groups belonging in the ranges of 22-24 y/o, 16-18 y/o, 24-26 y/o, giving it 31%, 11% and 6% respectively. The respondents joined the organization during their first year in Medicine giving it 59%, while on the other had, some joined when they were in the college level, giving it 26%. The rest of the target population joined when they were in 2nd yer, 3rd year and 4th year Medicine, giving 6% and 3% respectively. For those who joined when they were in college, they cited their courses as B.S Medical Technology, B.S Biology, and B.S Physical therapy, giving it 67%, 22% and 11% respectively. The students from FEU-Morayta who joined the organization make up 50%, while some joined when they were enrolled in FEU-NRMF giving 25%. 15% in University of Sto. Thomas, 5% joined when they were in Ateneo and 5% in University of the East ER -
