Abstract: The Year 2015 features the birth of the ASEAN Economic Community. It will mark the start of free trade between the 10 member-countries. Products and services, among other things, will have a single market and production base. Labor, investments, and capital will have a freer flow. An extensive agreement like the ASEAN Economic integration will create a wide range of opportunities to Filipino professionals. This study explores the possible impacts of the supposed integration on the lives of our country`s medical laboratory scientists. It utilized a descriptive type of study as research design. The survey method was employed using a questionnaire. The participants of the study were the selected medical laboratory scientists who are currently working primarily in laboratories within the domain of West Fairview, Quezon City. The results gathered showed that the overall awareness of the medical technologists in West Fairview, Quezon City is 64% while the overall readiness is about 41%.
