N2  - Abstract: CRP is an acute phase reactant normally found in serum. It is rapidly increased when there is damage to cells or microbial invasion of the body, such as infection, injury or trauma. Its levels are directly proportional to the extent of inflammation. Presently, it is clinically used for monitoring infection,  autoimmune disorders, and post myocardial infarction (MI). CRP can potentially determine the severity of disease with the organ system involved, if reference intervals are established. The researchers aim to determine the CRP levels of different disease condition and the relationship of these levels with sex, age, and organ system involved. The data came from the records review of FEU-NRMF Medical Center from September 2012 to June 2014. Information to be gathered includes the CRP level, age, sex, and diagnosis. Data for CRP is presented in descriptive statistics, relationship of CRP with the age, sex, disease, and organ system involved. In order to establish a CRP references interval, FEU-NRMF Medical Center patients with only a single diagnosed disease are considered. Since data will be based only from records review, the fact that CRP's value gradually changes after three (3) days from the start of its increase may affect the result of the study. Patient's data collected are gathered and transferred in a secure manner for analysis. Confidentiality will be practiced for the patient's safety. Personal data is limited to age, sex  and diagnosis. Names are not included, but will be used in tracking down the patient's data from the laboratory to the record section.
