N2  - Abstract: This research would be about the disinfecting property of the leaf extracts of Spanish plum (Spondias purpurea) on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The study would focus on the determination of the ideal concentration of the leaf extracts that will promote disinfection. Other focal point in this study would be the time it takes to disinfect. To simplify the method of data collection, the microorganism were inoculated together with the different concentrations of the leaf extracts of Spanish plum (Spondias purpurea), Lysol and water afterwards, the mixtures were incubated at 35 c. This study found out that at different concentrations; the extracts of Spanish plum did not exhibit disinfection. As a conclusion, Spanish plum extracts cannot be an alternative to commercially sold disinfecting agents like Lysol
