The study also evaluates the minimum inhibitory concentration and effectivity of the plant's essential oil extract to inhibit biofilm formation. The results of the study revealed that pseudomonas aeruginosa and its biofilm is best evaluated through tube macrodilution. Test show that its inhibitory concentration ranges between 62.5 ul and above of the oils concentration suggesting that the concentration is enough to inhibit the virulence factor of biofilm formation from happening. The test was ran two times each with the same amount of the oil and the organism. This was done to prove the accuracy and precision of the test. In conclusion, the Piper Betle Leaf Essential Oil Extract is effective in inhibiting the biofilm formation through the inhibition of the bacteria's communication but only in a certain concentration. The researchers made their recommendations to further develop the study ER -
