Sleep plays a vital role in individual health and lifestyle which is part of the maslow's hierarchy of needs, specially the physiological needs underneath the pyramid that symbolizes that it is one of the most important needs. This study opens the knowledge of the people about the effects and factors related to sleep deprivation especially on the academic performance of the freshmen bs nursing students of far eastern university - nicanor reyes medical foundation. This research used the method of questionnaires in qualitative descriptive form as its instrument to find out what are the common effects and factors related to that contribute of the respondents being sleep deprived. Based from the results of the gathered data technology and academics are the major factors related to contribution in sleep deprivation.
