CT scan revealed circumferential wall thickening in the terminal ileum, cecum and ascending colon, a portion of the distal ileal segment is mildly dilated. She was treated as a case of GI TB until she developed small bowel obstruction and had undergo right hemicolectomy. Histopathologic report revealed Schistosoma eggs in the serosa of the resected bowel. She was referred to DOH and was treated with Praziquantel and was eventually discharged.
