520 _aAbstract: The Moringa oleifera (M.O.), common name is malunggay, seeds contain dynamic coagulating operators that are portrayed as dimeric cationic proteins in which it has the capacity of antimicrobial impact. The antimicrobial peptides that the malunggay seeds have kill several human pathogens. Malunggay is abundantly distributed in the Philippines, especially in rural areas. The organisms used in this study were isolated from the stool of patients. The ethanolic extraction of the malunggay seeds were done through Soxhlet extraction method. In order to determine the bactericidal property of the malunggay ethanolic seeds extract, an experimental method which is antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) was done. Antibiotic discs for AST were replaced with Bland Discs impregnated with malunggay ethanolic seeds extract. The findings of this study were focused on the bactericidal property of malunggay ethanolic seeds extract by determining the microorganisms' susceptibility to the seed ethanolic extract. The bactericidal property was identified by knowing its zone of inhibition to the different microorganisms. With the volume of 110 microliters of the malunggay ethanolic extract, it inhibited microorganisms under Enterobacteriaceae. Therefore, this study was focused on the utilization of the malunggay ethanolic seeds extract for its bacericidal property against transient bacteria species namely Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Morganella morganii and Shigella spp. This may pave the way of microbiologist, clinicians and pharmacologist to optimize the natural products that may be derived from malnggay for the development of innovative antimicrobial drugs.
