520 _aAbstract: Visual loss after anesthesia and non-ocular surgery is a very rare, unexpected and devastating complication with no established definitive etiology. A myraid of intra-operative and post-operative factors have been implicated in a variety of operative procedures, most notably following spine and heart surgery. We present a case of transient bilateral postoperative visual loss in a patient who had undergone total hip arthroplasty under general endotracheal anesthesia with massive intraoperative blood loss.
