520 _aABSTRACT: Anemia is a major global problem that affects women and is prevalent during pregnancy. Effective management is necessary to prevent adverse pregnancy outcomes. However, most commonly available iron supplements are poorly absorbed, with gastrointestinal disturbances as side effect.
