The study used a descriptive research design to find out the most and least likely to be listened music genre by students while doing academic work, to determine how do students perceive the difficulty in completing academic works, too see how do students describe the effects of music in academic works, and to know does listening to different genres of music contribute to a student's academic productivity. To gather the needed information, the researchers conducted a mixed- method wherein both a survey questionnaire and an interview is used to gather the data. After acquiring the needed data, it was then found that pop music is the music genre that students most likely to listen to while the least likely music genre is ambient music. The quantitative data also showed that students find it easier to accomplish academic tasks due to the music genre they have chosen that boots their productivity. In addition, the qualitative data shows music can contribute to the students' productivity in both positive and negative manners. | ||
