520 _aAbstract: This study aims to know the perception of Senior High School Students about contraceptives. It was discussed how students knew about contraceptives and its effects, safety, effectiveness, and benefits to the human body. The study is applicable to both men and women in ages 16 to 19 years old. It was conducted with the participants in the Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation. The study employed a descriptive research design to collect data from participants to evaluate their answers. They completed a survey and were questioned to determine their perceptions about contraceptives and they also believe that contraceptives are safe to use and do gain benefits for its users. Furthermore, it was shown in the data on the survey that many students only had a general understanding of contraception, and the respondents in this survey indicated that many women contributed more than males. It has also been shown that sex education should be thoroughly taught in school to provide kids with a strong understanding of contraceptives and its uses. Furthermore, they thought that contraception is effective based on the individuals using it and are aware of the adverse effects, uses, and advantages. In addition to that, they felt that learning about it will benefit them since it will enable them to spread knowledge and make appropriate judgments for practicing safe and healthy sexual relations.
