520 _aABSTRACT: When confronted a case of genital ulcer in pregnancy, the diagnosis of Donovanosis is rarely considered since it is not endemic in our country. To date, there are no available statistics in the Philippines to show its occurrence in our country, since a confirmatory diagnosis is difficult to establish, a special stain is required to identify Donovan bodies and even brief periods of antibiotic therapy ma result in its absence. A pregnancy complicated by Donovanosis, its clinical manifestations, probable outcome in pregnancy, and its pathology in association with pregnancy is presented. Treatment strategies especially in pregnancy as well as its complications are emphasized.
