520 _aABSTRACT: With more than 2550,000 appendectomies performed annually, appedicitis is the most common abdominal surgical emergency. Appendicitis is believed to occur as a result appendiceal luminal obstruction. Obstruction is most commonly caused by a fecalith, which results from accumulation and inspissation of fecal matter around vegetable fibers. But for paatients where an appendectomy can not be performed just like the patient in this case who has a thyroid storm an option called interval appendectomy can be done.
