520 _aABSTRACT: Adversity Quotient (AQ) is a measure of human resilience. It is a new and emerging field of interest after earlier and more well-known studies on Intelligence and Emotional Quotient (IQ and EQ). Recent studies have shown AQ to be more predictive than IQ and EQ in determining success in the workplace. Medicine students are especially bombarded with stress and varying pressures and AQ may be the decisive skill in triumphing over the difficulties of medical school.
