520 _aSaponin extract from the leaves of Aloe vera was investigated for its potential role as an angiogenesis inhibitor the Chrioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay. Direct injection of the saponin extract at different concentrations of 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 ug/ml diluted with 10 % ethanol and injection of 10% ethanol on the CAM designated as the control. This done to monitor inhibition of blood vessel formation and to know at what concentration was angiogenesis inhibited in eight day old hatching eggs. Microscopic observation of the blood formation of the egg embryos showed a dose dependent inhibition.++
