520 _aAbstract: 5S is a structured program to organize work areas in order to provide a more efficient and productive operation. 5S stands for: Sort, Set in order, Shine Standardize and Sustain. It is divided into soft 5S. Soft 5S refers to the attitude of hospitals staff towards patient and their colleagues while the hard 5S refers to the structural organization of working areas within the hospital. FEU-NRMF Medical Center implemented 5S in order to increase the efficiency in providing quality service to the patients. The objective of the study is, therefore, to evaluate the level of implementation of 5S process in FEU-NRMF Medical Center. Twenty one areas in the hospital were randomly selected subsequently observed including the staff. The group used a questionnaire as an instrument to check whether the staff as well as the areas being observed comply the guidelines provided. Per guideline, areas observed are given a grade of 1 for compliance and grade of 0 for non compliance. Scores are summed up interpreted as excellent, and poor compliance to Scores > 85%, 75-84%, and, <74% respectively. The results of the evaluation revealed that 86% of the selected departments are highly complaint. Thus, FEU-NRMF Medical Center has an excellent compliance to the 5S process.
