520 _aAbstract: This study focused on the determination of the potential antibacterial properties of the three plant extracts: Acyranthes aspera (Hagor), Vernonia cinera (Tagulinaw) and Blechum pyramidatum (Dayang) on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The extract was obtained using the ethyl alcohol extraction method. The qualitative test used of the Agar Diffusion Method to measure the zone of inhibition of each plant extracts against Staphylococcus aureus (Table 1) and plant extracts against Escherichia coli (table 3) only the extract of Achyranthes aspera (Hagor) was shown to have an effect on S.aureus. The extracts produced negligible zones of inhibition. The extract of Achyranthes aspera was quantitatively tested using the broth dilution method. It was shown to have an MIC of 6.25 and an MBC of 12.5.
