ABSTRACT:
The study entitled “The Relationship of Cyberchondria to the Physical Pain Magnification of Senior High Students: A Convergent Parallel Research Design'5 primarily focuses on the determination the levels of cyberchondria and the physical pain magnification of senior high school students, and the relationship of the two variables to provide awareness and information about their correlation with each other and the experiences of an individual with these phenomena. The respondents and participants of this research are the grade 11 and grade 12 senior
high school students of FEU-NRMF. Furthermore, this research utilized mixed-method, specifically a convergent-parallel design. The researchers modified an existing research tool
and distributed the survey questionnaires using an internet platform to obtain the essential information from the respondents, while selected participants answered the interview for the
data collection. Upon thorough analysis, the study was able to conclude that the majority of the senior high school students have negative experiences with the phenomena, a moderate level of cyberchondria, and a subclinical level of physical pain magnification. Hence, through the use of statistical analysis, it was determined that there was a significant relationship with
cyberchondria and the physical pain magnification of students since the p-value was less than 0.001, with a confidence level of 95%.
