Online resources: Summary: ABSTRACT: Several studies have been conducted on the relationship between stress and people's eating habits, however there is a lack of research that focuses on how having academic stress can lead to poor eating habits in students aged 15 to 19 years old, especially in the Philippines. Furthermore, the researchers conducted this study because they are also students who may be vulnerable to the two variables. This mixed methods study sought to determine if the academic stress experienced by senior high school students at the Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) academic year 2022-2023 drives the students to have bad eating habits. The study involved sixty-seven students who were surveyed on their waist-to-hip ratio, and ten students were interviewed about their experiences regarding academic stress and its adverse effects on their eating habits. Meanwhile, the research design used is the mixed method explanatory design, as well as the phenomenological and correlational design. The research instrument used to measure the students' stress level is the Academic Stress Scale, and the Body Mass Index for classifying wellness.
