ABSTRACT: Solitary plasmacytoma is one of the two variants of myeloma which affects only a single lytic bone lesion without marrow plasmacytosis. In contrast, multiple myeloma affects almost the entire skeletal system of an individual. Both, however, are the result of malignant proliferation of plasma cells derived from a single clone.
