This may be a result of one`s experience in a place which the individual lives. Some of those beliefs are not scientifically proven but considered facts by those who hold them, like the idea held by the Aetas. In fact, they have their own set of health beliefs that run throughout their lives. One of those beliefs are "anitos" or spirit worship that helps them in times of needs and danger like when they have sicknesses or beliefs and practices for a more bountiful harvest.
