Summary: ABSTRACT: An information campaign about hair dyes particularly its types, preparations, effects and proper usage was conducted among first year medical students of FEU-NRMF SY 1998-99. A pre-test questionnaire was used as a pre- and post- evaluation indicator. Pre-test was done one week prior to intervention for baseline awareness values. After the intervention (video, posters, pamphlets and seminar) follow-up post test was done after one week. Collected data was subjected to a paired t-test with a critical value of + 1.68 at q= 0..05 for respondent correct values. And the analysis of the questions was subjected to a Z-test, p< 0.05 with a value of 2.132. Analysis of the respondent scores revealed a significant t value of 15.90626. While in the computed Z was 2.1578.
