ABSTRACT: In the past years, the atmosphere has become increasingly congested and polluted because of the carbon dioxide (CO²) and other greenhouse gases (GHG) being released. Carbon credits create a market for reducing greenhouse emissions by giving a monetary value to the cost of polluting the air. This paper determined the level of awareness of 103 Grade 12 Senior High School students and 16 General Education Faculty of Far Eastern University _ Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF). Descriptive-correlational and descriptive-comparative was utilized. The sampling method used was convenience sampling and population census was employed to determine the sample size. Findings revealed that both faculty and respondents has a medium level of awareness on carbon credits. Both groups of respondents have some knowledge on carbon credits but not fully aware of it. Results also show that faculty respondents have a significantly higher level of awareness as compared to that of students respondents. This led to the creation of an enhancement program which is aimed to improve the student respondents' level of awareness on carbon credits.
