Without A Trace Scarless Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

A case of a 55-year old female patient was diagnosed iwth chronic calculous cholecystitis based on history, physical examination and laboratory assessment, without any other complications. Preoperative preparation and anesthesia were similar to those used for standard laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Single Port access laparoscopic cholecystectomy was done successfully; operative time was 2 hours, with no intra-operative complications. The patient was discharged improved within 24 hours and subsequent follow-ups were unremarkable. A careful attention to reconstruction of the umbilicus after the procedure, lead to a completely invisible scar, making single port access laparoscopic cholecystectomy virtually scarless.
