The Association of multi-detector Computed Tomography findings and Clinical signs of Patients with High grade small bowel Obstruction - QUEZON CITY FEU-NRMF 2015

Abstract: Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is caused by a variety of pathologic processes. Conventional radiograph remain the first line of imaging. CT is used increasingly more because it provides essential not apparent in radiographs information. SBO management lies in determining whether early laparatomy is required or a trial of nonoperative management should be instituted. The study investigated the association of patients with high grade small bowel obstruction with clinical findings of abdominal distention and/or abdominal rigidity and their corresponding MDCT findings of patients of small bowel wall enhancement and small bowel wall edema.
