Abstract: To discuss a case of a newborn with ruptured omphalocele To discuss the outcomes and prognosis of newborns with omphalocede To discuss the sensitivity and specificity to diagnosing omphalocede antenatally. This is a case of a newborn with rupture omphalocele, born to a 33 year old GIPI (100) at 38 weeks and 6 days age of gestation by ultrasound. Patients mother is non-hypertensive, non-diabetic, non-asthmatic. Pregnancy was complicated with cough and colds for 3 weeks at 3rd month of pregnancy. Mother was given cefuroxime for 1 week. With no history of accidents, trauma, blood transfusion, or exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals.
