HOME SANITATION PRACTICES OF SELECTED FAMILIES IN BARANGAY 177-CIELITO HOMES, CALOOCAN CITY - Quezon City FEU-NRMF October 2012 - i, 80 p.

ABSTRACT: The study assesses the home sanitation practices of the selected families of Barangay 177- Cielito Homes. It identifies the common sanitation practices of the families towards health and evaluates the factors that affect respondent`s home sanitation, it determines the common home related illnesses associated with sanitation experienced by the respondents. It is centered on the perception of the respondents regarding the implications of sanitation to their health status. Data were gathered from selected families through the use of survey instrument that was adopted from Araceli Maglaya and was revised for appliiiiiicability to the study. It was tested for its face validity. The Results of the study showed that there were no direct implication between Home sanitation practices and the health of the selected families in Barangay 177- Cielito Homes, Caloocan City. Majority of the families observe proper sanitation practices like cleaning their house every day to minimize the possibility of acquining diseases. On the other hand, some families cannot practic proper sanitation practices due to financial difficulties. They cannot afford to buy cleansing agents, refrigerator, and exhaust fan or use mineral/purified water for drinking purposes
