Abstract: Presented is an action program by the Junior Interns batch December, 1994 to January, 1995 primarily to reorganize the group leaders and officers aged 15-24 years old Areas 1, 3 and 4 Dagat-dagatan, Malabon, Metro Manila to continue the main objective in a campaign against drug addiction. As new batch of interns rotate every two months in the Department of community and family Medicine, a new action program is made, to gather the core group leaders and officers of the said areas. Each time a new number of participants on a decreasing trend. After a preliminary community assembly, a survey was then made to identify the causes of decreasing participation, to ask the concensus of the previously active core group leaders and officers regarding their stand on the continuance of the campaign again drug abuse. The core group leaders were then reorganized and regathered in on youth assembly, presenting the results of the survey done, indicating the primary problems together with a designated solution. Pre-test questionnaires were then given on area base program planning. A lecture was then held, reinforcing the information already given on Area 3 and initiating area based program planning lecture on Area 1. Post-test then followed, on both group of participants. The results of the pre-test and post-test was then compared. Results showed a significant increase on knowledge on area-based program planning.
